Automatic attendance

The workday checks itself in.And explains how it ended.

Automatic employee attendance for macOS and Windows with lifecycle-aware check-in, checkout, sleep, lock, offline, and power-loss inference.

In short: Automatic attendance uses an enrolled desktop agent to start a session when an employee enters the interactive desktop, maintain it with trusted heartbeats, pause it for lock or sleep, and close or infer checkout from lifecycle evidence.

For HR & company leadership

Reduce attendance administration while improving payroll confidence.

HR gets a consistent process, executives get clearer workforce controls, managers review only exceptions, and employees can see the record used to calculate their time.

FIG. 01 / Start

A boot is not a check-in.

JoFlee waits for the assigned employee's interactive login and a valid device session. That distinction prevents unattended machines from creating attendance.

01.01

Enrolled identity

Device credentials are revocable and bound to organization, employee membership, and hardware.

01.02

Replacement login

A second enrolled computer closes the older lease before opening a new active session.

01.03

Fast user switching

Each visible user session retains separate lifecycle state.

FIG. 02 / End

Every ending gets a confidence label.

Normal logout and shutdown can send a final event. Power loss cannot, so JoFlee uses the last trusted heartbeat and recovered local journal.

02.01

Confirmed

Planned logout, shutdown, or agent close event.

02.02

Inferred

Heartbeat silence beyond policy grace, visibly labelled for review.

02.03

Reconciled

Recovered journal data refines the record when the device returns.

The JoFlee difference

Not another HRMS. A workday memory that runs itself.

JoFlee complements the PMS, HRMS, payroll, and billing tools a company already uses. It quietly prepares the accurate record those systems need, so employees do not have to recreate a week or month from memory.

03.01

Automatic by design

Attendance, active work, breaks, working-away time, project hours, timesheets, and salary progress are assembled from the normal workday—not another timer employees must remember to maintain.

03.02

Built to help employees

Employees can inspect the record, classify or split idle time, assign uncategorized activity to projects, review period totals, and request corrections before submission.

03.03

Useful to the whole business

HR gets scoped charts and exports, managers get review queues and project totals, and Finance gets transparent payable-hour and salary inputs—all from the same reviewed record.

Answer desk / FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Can attendance be recorded when the computer only boots?

No. The assigned employee must enter the interactive desktop session.

What happens during a power cut?

Checkout is inferred from the last trusted heartbeat, then reconciled with the device journal on the next launch.

Can an employee correct an inferred checkout?

Yes. The correction creates an audited request and adjustment instead of overwriting history.

Is JoFlee an HRMS or an employee surveillance tool?

No. JoFlee is an autonomous workday record that complements existing PMS, HRMS, payroll, and billing systems. It helps employees remember and verify their work, gives them visibility and review rights, and deliberately excludes screenshots, keystrokes, productivity scores, and employee ranking.
